What types of information can you locate?
Our specialty is locating personal and commercial financial accounts for post-judgment collections. We can also identify current addresses and places of employment.

What types of accounts do you locate?
  • Bank accounts – national, regional, local and online
  • Credit union accounts – online and traditional
  • Investment accounts and brokerage accounts – online and traditional

How successful are your searches?
Most clients receive between 30 and 60 percent successful hits, much higher than the industry standard. Your experience may vary, depending on a number of factors including the age and quality of the data you provide. There is no charge if we cannot locate an account.

What is your Queued Search service?
This is a no-charge, opt-in service. We will perform a monthly search of a client’s non-hit subjects in an attempt to locate an open account. This way, our clients are notified soon after a subject opens an account.

What information do you provide?
We will provide the bank name, address and phone number of the institution where the subject opened the account, along with the account’s routing number.

Do you obtain the account numbers?
We do not obtain or report account numbers due to federal trust laws.

Do you verify that an account is open before you report it?
Yes.

Can you provide process service for my garnishment?
Our sister company, Tag Messenger, specializes in process service for the collection industry. They provide process service nationwide.

How are bad hits handled?
Refunds are given for false positives, whenever an account can be verified as closed. Simply provide the bank’s court answer to receive a refund.

Do you provide "raw” searches?
A “raw” search asks for all accounts, open and closed. We will perform this type of search at a client’s request. The fee is considerably lower per subject and there is a much higher return of hits.

How long does it take?
We begin your search the same day we receive it. Depending on the number of cases you submit, it will take from three days to three weeks to search all available data.

Who can use this service?
Attorneys, collection agencies, judgment enforcement agencies and private investigators can use our service for a permissible use, such as collecting a debt. All clients must complete an application and be approved before any work can be done. Please do not submit any data until your application has been approved.

What information must I provide before using the service?
Due to the nature and extent of our search service, we require the following information before we can do any work for you:
  • Your name, company name, title and contact information
  • Telephone number, fax number, email address
  • Photocopy of your business card.
  • Letter of Intent, printed on company letterhead, stating your company's business activity and how you intend to use information obtained from National-Locator.com.
  • Photocopy of your State Bar card, private investigator’s license, or professional license (if applicable).
  • Letter of authorization from a corporate officer evidencing authority to purchase services from National-Locator.com. (Required if applicant is not a corporate officer or business owner.)
  • Photocopies of all appropriate corresponding decrees and petitions. (If requested.)
